xii, pp 180. Illustrated Regency period guide to Brighton from the town's first flourishing under the patronage of the future George IV. Original blue paper covered boards, worn and chipped with tan-coloured paper spine renewed; tissue overlay strengthening inner hinges. Untrimmed edges to text block; text collates complete with frontispiece of Brighton Pavilion and two further copper-engraved full page plates of Donaldson's Library and the New Inn by Alford of Brighton. A very good copy of an uncommon compendium designed to satisfy the new tourist trade inspired to visit the south coast.
