[pp] 104 Obscure Teesside journal by the prolific local historian and Vicar of Laithkirk. Lush if eccentric crushed morocco binding with gilt decoration, upper hinge tender, small section of backstrip missing, all edges gilt. The design of the lower cover bears no resemblance to the upper; yellow coated endpapers. No title page as issued, or pagination, the magazine begins with a welcome to 'noble Lord Fitzhugh!' in his castle of Ravensworth and the journal comprises a series of ancient documents discovered by Bell in his antiquarian researches. Unsuprisingly the only institutional example at York University bears little resemblance to this example of the journal.
