Inscribed to the author's daughter, with a photograph of Charles Goss, also inscribed, laid in. Goss has written on the first endpaper: 'This is the First Edition to my daughter Pauline from the Author. The 2nd Edition published two months later.' Goss has inscribed the card-backed albumen photograph 'For Pauline'. A very good copy of Goss's llustrated i of Crosby Hall. Charles Goss was an influential librarian in turn of the twentieth century London who was responsible for several cataloguing innovations.
