A one page letter from the botanist George Bentham arranging an appointment with Mrs Hall at the Herbarium at Kew Gardens. Bentham who has been described as 'the premier systematic botanist of the nineteenth century' writes in the third person on March 13 of an unknown year to Mrs Hall who had made prior contact. Bentham advises her of his regular attendance at Kew where he will be 'happy to show Mrs Hall any thing she may wish to see in the Herbarium. Mrs Hall will find Mr B. at the Herbarium - commonly called "the King of Hanover" - the large red brick house just before entering the Gardens on the right hand side.' Bentham gives his address as 91 Victoria Street SW. The letter is unsigned. Bentham's correspondence and archive is held at Kew.
