MODERNFIRSTEDITIONS

Dear Colleague,

Two of London's great image-makers are on show this month: William Blake and David Bailey, the second in the form of his terrific Box of Pin-Ups. Harold Wilson is also much in evidence in an album of photographs of his visit to John F Kennedy's White House in 1963 - and a Shakespearean Christmas present to the Prime Minister at the peak of his powers in 1966: 'to encourage some lighter reading than usual'. Cymbeline?

There's a fragmentary post-incunable breviary, still unidentified, and a couple of wacky book-bindings by Martin Thorpe including a guide to York's Old Inns and Inn Signs which Thorpe rebound in the skin 'from a Seal which died in the River Ouse York 1926'.

We're pleased to offer a 20% discount on everything on this list.

Best wishes,

Christian White
