Inscribed on the endpaper by Janet Ashbee, \'C.R.A. from J.E.A. 8 Sept 1929\'. The book also has the Ashbees\' circular red morocco book label on the front paste-down. The binding is in attractive quarter red morocco over cloth boards. There is staining to the first few pages and the frontispiece is nearly detached. On the title page is an earlier ownership signature of Anastasia Gascoigne, second wife of the industrialist Charles Gascoigne. An interesting association copy.
