Volume I [4] pp 1-184 [Frontispiece]; Volume II [4] pp 1-168 An unusual miscellany of folklore and rural customs. These include items such as 'Going a Hodening. A Curious Custom in Kent.' 'Dance-Maine A Druidical Circle in Cornwall' and 'Bel-tein a Superstitious Custom Observed in the Highlands of Scotland.' The frontispiece shows the head of St Edmund - of Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk and has a semo-circular stain. The early pages are browned but otherwise the text is clean.
